Sri Lanka is a country famous for it's tasty and spicy food. Sri
Lankan food uses many spices, which give it a rich and unique flavour.The main food in Sri Lanka is rice and curry. People eat rice with different types of curries such as vegetable curry, fish curry or chicken curry. These curries are made using spices like chilli, turmeric and curry leaves.
Another popular food is hoppers. Hoppers are made from rice flour and coconut milk. String hoppers are also very common and are usually eaten with dhal curry π and coconut sambol.
Sri Lankan also enjoy spicy side dishes like pol sambol. Snacks such as rolls, patties and cutlets are popular too.Since Sri Lanka is an island,sea food like fish π and prawns π€ is widely eaten.
